FTP Settings

New to HostAway? We have tutorials below to help you upload your files to the right place!

Using a content management system (CMS)? If you edit your site using an Administrator page, you’re not using FTP, so the info here doesn’t apply. HostAway doesn’t manage the login details to CMS accounts (they will have been set by your web developer) however we can reset them for you if required.

FTP | Settings

• FTP Server / Host

ftp.yourdomain.com.au – For example: ftp.hostaway.net.au

• FTP Port

Port 21 – Some FTP clients require a port setting.

• Username

yourdomain.com.au – For example: hostaway.net.au (*Note: Do not include www.)

• Password

Password is your secret code or phrase to secure your account – Have you forgotten your password?

• Upload Folder

/htdocs/ – Upload files into this folder to be viewable through your website.
